a place to stand

Give me a place to stand, and I can move the world.’ ~ Archimedes

While literally referring to the lever, and the ability to move an object of any size or weight, with the appropriate length and standing position, Archimedes was also referring to a philosophic notion that we can accomplish anything that is within us. I have loved this aspect since I first heard his words!

We all have something within that we are designed to contribute. We all have unique talents and abilities that support that contribution. We all have greatness within us, and when we stand in that place, we can accomplish great feats related to our purpose. I believe there is a miraculous momentum that follows us when we move along the lines of greatness. Greatness that is connected with our unique and innate dharmic purpose.
